Welcome! My name is Mark Berkowitz and I am happy to tell you about Derby's history. Let me start at the beginning.  My grandfather and father, David and Samuel, founded Derby Appliances, Inc. and opened their first store in Edison, New Jersey in 1956. In 1968 we moved to our current location, 1599 Lincoln Highway (Route 27) in Edison.

As President and third generation owner, I continue the tradition started by my grandfather and father. We are a neighborhood store and we make it our business to know our customers and their needs. With our own trucks and drivers, we have handled residential, commercial and industrial accounts all these years.

We take pride in what we do, and it shows. Our customers and their children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins (to name a few) keep reminding us why we've been in business for so long and why we'll continue to meet the needs of each and all of our customers.
